" When my three children were growing up we explored nature together. It was not unusual to find tiny squirrels, song birds and the odd baby raccoon taking up
temporary refuge in our home. One of my children, Jody is still committed to helping needy North American animals, owning and running the Muskoka Wildlife Education Center with her husband Dale and their son North. Thus I have had the privilege and honor of knowing some of my subject animals from their babyhood to present."
